Building a Stronger TacMobile Community: ASEC Hosts Global Engagement

Last month at NAS Jacksonville, something big happened. TOCRON-11 and ASEC Jacksonville brought together TacMobile teams from across the globe—representatives from the Royal Air Force (RAF), Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), Royal Norwegian Air Force (RNAF), and the Royal New Zealand Air Force (NAF) all converged to train, collaborate, and strengthen the bonds that make the Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft (MPRA) community what it is.

The idea started last summer. TOCRON-11 leaders saw an opportunity to take joint operations to the next level, growing partnerships with allied TacMobile nations. The RAF was first to sign on, then RCAF, RNAF, and NAF followed. Pulling it all together wasn’t easy—navigating administrative paperwork and visit approvals was a challenge. But ASEC Jacksonville’s deep connections and expertise helped cut through the red tape and make it happen.

The schedule was packed with opportunities for hands-on learning and meaningful conversations. From large group meetings to smaller discussions, everything was designed to push the conversation forward. The highlight? TOCRON-11’s Detachments 5 and 9 ran advanced readiness training exercises, giving everyone a firsthand look at how their teams prepare for deployment. Seeing that level of expertise in action—including four different military occupation specialty types   working together, crushing their objectives—was eye-opening for many attendees.

ASEC Jacksonville played a major role in making this engagement a success. With over 110 years of combined experience, their TacMobile SMEs provided invaluable mentorship and feedback. Their job? Support the Warfighter, always. And their presence at this event ensured that every participant left with new knowledge, new strategies, and new connections to carry forward.

The response from attendees? Overwhelmingly positive. The biggest takeaway: events like this matter. They build networks, foster shared learning, and create a foundation for future collaboration. And speaking of the future—plans are already in motion for another engagement this spring, possibly hosted by one of the partner nations. Next time, the goal is even bigger: more joint exercises, more hands-on training, more ways to sharpen operational effectiveness together.

As the ASEC TacMobile FMS team put it, “Despite being a short week event, it was a valuable experience to team-build the MPRA worldwide TacMobile community.”

ASEC Jacksonville extends its deepest thanks to TOCRON-11’s leadership, security teams, and Detachments 5 and 9 for making this event a reality. Their commitment to growing and strengthening the MPRA TacMobile community is what made this week not just possible, but impactful. Here’s to what comes next.
